These crispy, savoury treats are a delightful fusion of classic cheeseburger flavours wrapped in a crunchy spring roll shell and dipped in a burger sauce. Missing these delicious bites, we decided to recreate them at home, and the results were nothing short of spectacular! We tried with ground beef and ground pork.

With just a handful of ingredients and simple preparation, these cheeseburger spring rolls are incredibly easy to make. Sometimes, you have to cheat a little and not always eat healthy, but trust us, it’s worth it. Plus, they’re perfect for sharing with neighbours and friends, spreading a bit of Disney magic right from your own kitchen.

So, let’s dive into this fun and tasty recipe that brings a touch of Disney to your home!

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-15 pieces) package wonton wrappers, spring roll wrappers, or egg roll wrappers
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 1/3 cup dill pickle, diced
  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 2 cups freshly grated sharp or extra old cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1-2 cups of vegetable oil for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef with diced onions on medium heat until the meat cooked all the way through (no more pink pieces), but do not overcook. This takes about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. Using a paper towel, drain excess fat from the fry pan by tilting the pan to allow the oil to pool to one side. Dab with the paper towel.
  3. Return the fry pant to heat and combine pickles, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and cheese. Stir until grated cheese is fully melted. Remove from heat.
  4. Put 2 tablespoons of filling on spring roll wrapper and roll/fold like making a burrito.
  5. Moisten the top tip of the spring roll wrapper with water to seal the end of the wrapper into position.
  6. In a shallow fry pan, heat oil to 325F.
  7. Fry the spring rolls 3 minutes each side or until light golden brown. Do not crowd the pan or the oil temperature will drop too low.
  8. Remove from heat and let rest on wire cooling rack lined with paper towels.
  9. Wait until oil temperature returns to 325F before frying the next batch.
